Farima's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy vegetables for making sauces.

Farima's story

Born in 1977 in BANGASSI, FARIMA lives with her fourteen children and her husband in a traditional family in N’TENTOU, one of the villages in OUELESSEBOUGOU (in the prefecture of KATI, in the Koulikoro region, in the republic of Mali). Farima, not having had the chance to go to school, quickly became interested in making a living, namely buying and selling vegetables for making sauces: tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, and onions. After having repaid the preceding three individual loans, Farima is on her fourth loan with Soro Yiriwaso, which will be used to buy a large quantity of different vegetables for making sauces (tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, and onions). She stocks up in Bamako and locally. She makes her sales for cash or credit at retail from her home, in OUELESSEBOUGOU, or in local fairs to a clientele composed of men and women. Farima hopes to earn a monthly profit of 200,000 FCFA, which will be used to help her husband with the family expenses, to repay her loan, and to invest in her business.
