La Hermita Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy supplies for shoemaking, which will help increase production in her cobbler's shop.
La Hermita Group's story
The La Hermita solidarity group is made up of three enterprising members. Mayra is coordinator for the group. She is 26 years old, married, and the owner of a cobbler’s shop, located in her house, that has been operating for two years. Her products are sold in the local municipal market, the capital and Diriamba markets. She is requesting this loan to buy in bulk the supplies she needs, such as synthetic leather, yellow glue, white glue, cones of thread, buckles, heels, decorations, etc. One of her goals is to open new markets. The other members are Maria, who is 44 years old and has made her living making and selling nacatamales, and selling firewood and fruit harvests in the municipal market for the last 20 years, and Nelson, a young man of 26 years who sells spices in various neighborhoods in the capital.
