Jessica Jehovani's story

Jessica is an entrepreneurial woman of 41 years of age. She is native to the Vinces canton which belongs to the Los Rios province on the Ecuadorian coast. She is happily married to Jhon who is an active soldier in the Ecuadorian Army, and they have a 16 year old son. For her and he husband it has not been at all easy to strive to give their son a good standard of life. Thanks to their efforts and sacrifice they were able to buy a small house in the city of Latacunga. Jessica has been a great support to her husband in providing for their home, and so she sells clothes and shoes by catalogue. She also offers a food service to the local area where they live. She is therefore asking for a loan which will be invested in the purchase of new season's merchandise. In this way she will have greater profitability from the sale of these goods and this will help her to improve her standard of living and that of her family. Jessica is grateful to the Fundación Alternativa in Ecuador and to Kiva for making possible growth in her working and personal life.
