A loan helped to purchase sacks of charcoal for resale.

Dzendera's story

Kahaso is a married woman. She has seven children, four of whom attend school. Kahaso owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees. Kahaso has operated a charcoal selling business, selling from home to her neighbours and passersby. She faces stiff competition from other firewood operators in her business. With the Kshs 50,000, she wants to purchase sacks of charcoal for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
