Nato's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to renovate the house and begin a new business, renting rooms to tourists.

Nato's story

Nato is 44 years old and a married woman, from the village Abedati. She lives with her husband, son, and daughter-in-law. The family generates income from agricultural activity. In particular, Nato and her husband are engaged in cattle, pig, and milk-cow breeding, in beekeeping, and in cultivating a plot of family-owned land, where they harvest nuts. Nato realizes income from selling the agricultural products in the local market, which is the main source of the family's income.

In order to increase the living condition of her family, Nato has a great desire to get additional sources of income. Therefore, she requested a loan. The startup program, which is a joint initiative between Kiva and Credo, enables rural poor and inexperienced people to get a loan, for starting or re-starting a business. Nato's application was approved under the framework of this program. She is taking a loan of $4500. She will use it for renovating the rooms of her house, and after that she will rent rooms to tourists, at good prices.

The loan will greatly assist Nato. Using the loan capital, she will be able to improve her economic situation and give her family a better style of life. Nato and her family members rely on the good will of lenders, and they will highly appreciate Kiva lenders' help.
