Angela Maria's story
Angela, 46, is a hardworking, strong, enterprising woman. She wants to become independent to earn her own income because of financial need and a lack of job opportunities. That's why she wants to start a fast food business that will be located on a very busy corner of the neighborhood where she lives in the town of Bello. In her business she wants to sell cheese "arepas" [corn pancakes], patacones [fried plantains], chorizo arepas, Catalan sausage, corn arepas, soda, and other things. With that she hopes to earn the resources she needs to satisfy her basic needs. Angela's requesting the loan to support a purchase of fixed assets (tables and chairs) and ingredients to make her dishes (cold cuts, oil, arepas, plantains, soda) to have a variety of products available to satisfy the desires of all her customers. That way she'll be able to have a better quality of life and greater well-being. Thanks to the support of Corporación Interactuar and of Kiva lenders she'll be able to set up this business and become independent.
