Sartawi De Tambillo Group's story

The “SARTAWI DE TAMBILLO” group will begin its first cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Centro Copacabana The group has 8 members and is directed by an executive board of which Dionicia is president. The members' businesses are varied: selling food, selling ice cream, selling shawls, transportation service, selling food, and selling food.

This loan will benefit their small businesses where Dionicia is a member. Diocicia joined Pro Mujer 1 year ago at the invitation of a Pro Mujer representative that visited her home. She has a business selling cheese. She learned about this work years ago from her parents and from a young age helped support her family. Now she has her own family so she decided to start her own business. The loan will be an increase in capital (to buy cattle) to acquire products from the wholesalers in her community and then be able to sell her milk and cheese. This work will enable her to generate income to support her family economically, as she is married with a child. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responds that she likes the training the institution offers.
