Mabona Tutungukye Group's story

Jackline is a widow, aged 32 years, from Maboona, a suburb in the Isingiro district. She dropped out of school and got married when she was young. At the age of 35, with four children, the husband passed away, leaving her with no source of income to support the family. She acquired a loan of 800,000, and started up a food stall in the market in order to survive and also to cater for her children. This business grew and helped her to sustain her family. This prompted her to mobilize her colleagues to form a group called Maboona Tutungukye group. They started different businesses, and with the help of Ugafode loans, their businesses have progressed. They are requesting a loan to help them increase their business working capital to improve their standards of living. Jackline will use the loan to restock her food stall. This will help her to meet her customers' demands, and also increase her income. She is hard working.
