Leila's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped buy clothes to sell.

Leila's story

Leila is a 45-year-old married woman from the village of Shalauri. She lives with her husband, son and daughter. The family earns a living with the help of a small agricultural business. Particularly, Leila has a dairy farm and sells milk products locally. She generates an insignificant income that isn't enough to cover even basic needs. So, the family needs some investments to make financial stability and increase their income. Leila requested a loan from local financial institutions but without any success, as she was considered a high-risk borrower because of her low income. Her loan application was approved within the joint initiative between Kiva and Credo that gives a chance to the rural poor to start or re-start businesses. Leila plans to use the loan to purchase stocks of clothing and sell in her community with price mark-ups. Her income will significantly increase with the help of this new business initiative and Leila will increase her bit toward her family's welfare. She awaits your support and kindness and will be grateful for the help.
