A loan helped to buy cattle feed for her cattle fattening program.

Rhoda's story

Rhoda changed her business from a grocery shop to buying and selling goats due to competition. She buys and fattens goats and sheep for a month before selling them at a profit in the capital. She sells at least ten goats per trip, which is usually once every three weeks. Rhoda managed to buy two cattle that have been put on the fattening program. From the cattle, she is expecting a 100% profit. She has used her profits to renovate her house and pay school fees for a vulnerable child at the local school where she does voluntary work. She also bought shoes for each of her family members in a family of eight. Her other profits are going towards her own education and her examination fees. Rhoda would like to expand to cattle fattening on a full-time basis. If she gets a bigger loan, she will start the cattle fattening business.
