Geraldine Lisseth's story
Geraldine is a young student at SENATI. She lives with her mother and her younger brother. Her parents are separated but her mother is in another relationship now. Her step father works informally as a driver and her mother is a housewife. Right now she is in the third year of Industrial Management. Because of the schedule and the courses she is taking it is difficult to work and go to school at the same time, so it is very important to her to have the support of KIVA so she can continue with her education. Because of the financial situation her family is going through is is very complicated for them to keep paying for her education. She is a very enterprising young woman. She is happy with her major because right now it is one of the degrees that are most in demand and she feels that it will benefit her financially and and allow her to support her family. They will be proud that she was able to reach her goals despite the obstacles she has faced the whole way. She is grateful for the support KIVA has given through the education loans granted through IPFE. It gives help to continue education and that is essential to be able to achieve something in life and improve and grow professionally and personally to serve and be be useful to society and help their families. If they really want to achieve something they have to realize there are no obstacles to doing it. With perseverance and hard work everything can be achieved.
