Robinson's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy replacement parts for electrical appliances in greater volume.

Robinson's story

Robinson is 69 years old and is the owner of an electrical appliance repair workshop located in Soledad. He started the workshop in 2010, when he received his retirement pension and decided to independently continue taking advantage of his technical abilities in electronics. His workshop is open Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 7 PM. He buys the replacement parts for the maintenance and repair of items in specialty stores, where he finds prices that let him be competitive. His customers, who are his neighbors from the neighborhood, bring fans, washing machines, irons, and small electrical appliances in general to increase the shelf life of the devices. Currently, Robinson is applying for a Kiva loan – the first loan that he requests from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo – with which he will buy replacement parts for electrical appliances in greater volume. With this investment he will have a larger inventory of replacement parts, which are the supplies that Robinson uses to do his work with excellence. This will give him more opportunities to increase his customer volume, grow his utility, and overcome the challenge of continuously offering a better quality of life to his family.
