Leonela Maura's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase basic goods for her store and to introduce yogurt, sausage, and other meat sales.
Leonela Maura's story
This is the second time that Leonela is requesting a loan with FODEMI. She is 23 years old and lives in La Tola with her 3 year-old son and one of her brothers. Her son is in school and in good health. Leonela is an abandoned mother. Because there are no sources of employment, she thought of putting together a grocery store. She improvised, using her house as a space for this business. With the previous loan, she purchased merchandise for her store. Now, with this new loan, she is thinking of stocking up on more merchandise and introducing yogurt, sausage, and other meat sales. She is very grateful for FODEMI for being the company that helps her work and grow her business. Within three years, she hopes to have a much larger store and be able to meet the needs of her customers. Leonela can be found with her son in her arms.
