A loan helped to buy a kitchen grill.
Maria Angelica's story
María, 25, has a live-in companion and a 3-year-old child. She and her family--her son and her companion--live with her parents. María's a merchant. She works every day selling tortillas in the center of the town where she lives. When she gets home, she already has prepared enchiladas for sale. On the weekend she makes bread to sell. She has worked this way for three years and it has become her main source of income. The loan is to buy a kitchen grill. The one she has now is worn out and she wants to start selling pupusas. María hopes her project will yield good results so she can start another business selling Mexican food.
