Demen Miyo 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 Group's story
Maxene is the coordinator of group Demen Miyo 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5. He is not married, and has one child. Maxene lives in northern Haiti, where electricity is rare and access to potable water fairly limited. Maxene has retailed various products and women accessories for over ten years. Before he started this business, he drove a taxi. He hopes that the loan will help him grow his business. Other members of group Demen Miyo 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 need loans for such retail businesses as cosmetics sales, soft-drinks, charcoal, etc. Maxene says that his main challenge is to become a major retailer in the northern department. He adds that his principal goal is to own a large retail business, which will make it easier for him to build a large house with the help of Esperanza Int.
