A loan helped To buy sneakers and children's shoes.

Redina's story

Redina C. A. is a member of the Azucenas (“White Lilies”) Village Bank. Redina is 32 years old and lives with her common-law husband and their two children. She and her husband sell shoes in the April 12th Market in the city of Ayacucho. They own two market stands, one of which they own, while the other is rented. They work every day of the week, and buy the shoes in Lima. Her husband also travels around to different regional fairs. Redina needs a loan of $650 to buy sneakers and children’s shoes. Redina’s dreams are to educate her children, to buy a car to transport her products, and to improve her home. Translated from Spanish by Cynthia McMurry, Kiva fellow.
