Holiskhon's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase seeds as well as frame reinforcements and plastic film for greenhouses in order to grow organic vegetables.
Holiskhon is 58 years old, a widow, and the mother of four. Holiskhon has received secondary education. She is retired. As a supplementary source of income for her family, Holiskhon has been growing farm produce for some 20 years. Thanks to Holiskhon's persistence and hard work, her farm at present includes a land plot of 0.63 ha [1.5 acres], where she grows potatoes, cabbage and corn to sell to wholesale buyers. Her vegetables, organically grown and very tasty, are in high demand. Her monthly income is 10,000 KGS. In order to develop her business further, she has applied to the Bai Tushum microfinance institution for a loan in the amount of 130,000 KGS to buy seeds. Part of these funds will be used to buy frame reinforcements and plastic film for her greenhouse. Holiskhon plans to invest her revenue in an additional expansion as her farms. She would like to build a large greenhouse.
