Kusorkan's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy additional cattle to increase her milk production, and also to buy feed for her livestock.

Kusorkan's story

Kusorkan is 59 years old, a widow, and she has a son and two grandchildren. She has the equivalent of a high school education and used to work for many years in a bakery shop. She is now a pensioner, and since 1996, she has been involved in agriculture, an activity which provides an additional income for her family. Thanks to her very hard work, she currently owns two dairy cows, two horses and ten sheep. She also has a plot of land measuring 4.88 hectares, on which she grows potatoes, cereals and sainfoin. In their spare time, her son and grandchildren actively help Kusorkan to run the farm and to sell milk. Kusorkan makes a total monthly income of 10,000 som (KGS). The family also takes any odd job, since the grandchildren need to be raised and educated. Kusorkan's income is vastly insufficient to provide a decent living and to meet all the needs of the family. For this reason, she has turned to Bai Tushum Bank CJSC for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS). She will primarily use her loan to purchase livestock, and also to buy some animal feed. By developing her business, Kusorkan hopes to increase her production of milk for resale. The earnings from her loan will enable her to expand her business and to improve her family's welfare.
