Four Stars Group's story

Tarisai is a member of the Four Stars group. She is 45 years old married and has 3 children. Tarisai is in the poultry business. She has been doing poultry business for more than 3 years. She started keeping batches of 100 chickens per batch and now keeps batches of 150 to 200 chickens at a time. When Tarisai heard about Thrive microfinance she and her business-minded friends formed a group and joined the Thrive programme. Tarisai is appreciative of the training at Thrive, as she got good lessons in record keeping and saving money. With the loan from Thrive, Tarisai wants to further grow her batches and extend her fowl run to have a capacity of up to 500 birds. The growth of her business has enabled her to assist her husband to meet the family needs and educate their children. Tarisai plans to work hard and buy herself a car for easy delivery of her chickens to her customers.
