Lion Of Judah Group's story

Tendai is the chairperson of the Lion of Judah group. She is a 37 years old single mother of three. Tendai has been selling hardware, plumbing materials and electrical gadgets for the past 3 years. The group which she is part of is based in Machipisa, a high density suburb in Harare and all members work in the same complex. Tendai’s business has been a source of livelihood for her and her children. Selling hardware and electrical gadgets has helped her educate all of her children, despite being single. Her major challenge, however, was the lack of adequate capital not only to meet her demand but to provide a wider product range. With the loan from Thrive, she will be able to do all the above. Her vision is to grow her business through the knowledge she got from Thrive training which included lessons on savings, budgeting and keeping daily records of business transactions.
