A loan helped to buy farm supplies.
Tacachico Iii Group's story
Ruth is a farmer in the department of La Libertad. She is 36 years old and leads the solidarity group Tacachico 3. All of its members work growing basic grains like corn, sorghum, and rice. Ruth is a single mother of two children, ages one and fifteen. She has a ninth grade education, which she was able to complete thanks to her parents' efforts. She has fifteen years of farming experience, mainly growing corn, sorghum, and rice. Ruth is requesting a loan so that she can buy the supplies she needs to plant and manage her corn and sorghum crops. These supplies will allow her to continue generating the resources she needs in order to support her two children. Ruth's main goal is supporting her children so that they have the opportunity of going to school, improving their quality of life, and overcoming the financial problems she had to live through.
