Jose Alejandro's story
Jose, 38, is married and lives with his wife and 12-year-old son in Guaranda in the Bolivar province, in the Nueva Esperanza community. He is a member of the solidarity group 'Rural Cooperativa Curi-Nan' which operates in the Nueva Esperanza community. They are dedicated to agricultural work and livestock. Jose works in agriculture and grows corn, potatoes and wheat. He is asking for a loan to buy compost, insecticide, fertilizers, urea and fungicides; all of which he will use for the maintenance of his potato crops. He buys his supplies in Guaranda. His goal is to increase the amount he sows and provide for his family. His main challenge are the diseases that blight his crops. In his free time he likes watching television and doing sport.
