A loan helped to buy another calf to increase milk production.

Lidia Nohemy's story

Lidia is 26 years old and studied up to 5th Grade. She is married and her husband works as a bricklayer. They have two children. Lidia does domestic work and cares for two pigs that they have. The family likes to have something they can sell to give them money in case of an emergency. They also have a calf that they bought quite young. She takes care of it, so in the future it will give them milk. She does this by herself as her husband is working and doesn't have time to take care of the animal.

The loan that she is requesting is to buy another calf from a neighbor. Having to cows will increase the milk production for the family when these calves grows. The loan will be very helpful because she will be able to do things and help her husband a bit with the household expenses. She would like to have chickens so they could eat the eggs and sell them to people who come looking for them. Her dream is to take good care of the calves and she will have the income and food from their milk. She wants her children to get ahead, finish their studies and become professionals.
