Mary is a widow. She has three children. She describes herself to be focused, God-fearing, and determined. She operates a retail business where she sells stationery. She has been involved in this business for 10 years. Her business is located in a busy market and her primary customers are the general public. Mary describes her biggest business challenge to be delay in payment. She will use the Kes 100,000 loan to buy more stock of stationery. Her business goal is to have her own company of stationery supplies within five years. She hopes that in the future, she will have better living conditions. This is her fourth loan with SMEP Microfinance bank. Her previous loan was repaid successfully. She will use the anticipated profits to add more stock and educate her children.
