Rwengyiri Tweyambe Group's story

The group is comprised of only women who mostly deal in small-scale businesses. The group thanks the Kiva lenders for being on their side to support their small businesses. Allen is a divorced woman with three children, of which two are in school except one who dropped out due to lack of tuition. Allen operates a bar in the trading centre. She runs her business with capital of UGX 300,000. She requested for a loan of UGX 500,000 to add in her working capital so as to increase her cash flow. She will use the rest of the money to pay school fees for her children and buy them a few basic needs. Her customers are people around the centre. Her major challenge is competition, and laws that prohibit early drinking, which affects her during her business operations since she has to wait for her customers until late in the evening. Despite all these challenges, Allen is a very hardworking woman who is striving hard to provide a good education, and a good standard of living for her children.
