A loan helped to buy 50 pairs of shoes.
Changamuka Group's story
Angeline is a merchant and a member of the business group Changamuka. She is 35 years old, married to a merchant, and a mother of nine children. Seven of the children go to school and two are already grown. Angeline has worked selling used shoes at the central market for 17 years. She started this business with funds that she received from her husband. After, she sought a loan with the micro-finance institution Hekima. [With this loan] she is going to buy 50 pairs of shoes to increase her business. In the future, she plans to buy a piece of land and educate her children. She thanks Hekima for their support of small-scale entrepreneurs who lack access to banking services. To note, some of the group members are holding their children [in the photo].
