A loan helped to buy stock of cooking oil, rice, baking flour, maize flour and beans for her shop to resell.
Kwa Kingo Group's story
Wema is a businesswoman who manages a shop selling food: rice, beans, sugar, baking and maize flour, cooking oil and other items. She has run this enterprise for three years now, but her business capital does not allow her to resell as many types of food as are demanded. She is now at Tujijenge, a Kiva partner, to find support. She dreams to grow her business to other areas and raise more business income. Wema is a mother of three schooling sons, and is aged in her early thirties and married. She starts working from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. per working day and is able to make a good monthly profit. She is requesting her first credit from Tujijenge Tanzania. The credit will be apportioned among two members of the Kwa Kingo group. The group members will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan. Wema will use her credit to buy stock of cooking oil, rice, baking flour, maize flour and beans for her shop to resell. She will be so thankful for everyone who will support her group.
