Nodar's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy seeds and hire workers to grow more organic vegetables.
Nodar lives with his mother in a remote village in Dusheti, a poor mountain district in Eastern Georgia. They have a small farm where he grows potatoes, carrots and other vegetables. In order to produce healthy food of high quality, he does not use any chemical fertilizers or herbicides. He produces cheese from his own cows’ milk, too. His clients appreciate the organic production method and pay a fair price. Some of them submit their order to Nodar via internet and he delivers it. He does the marketing for some neighbors, too and takes their produce to the towns. Nodar will use the loan to buy seeds and to hire workers for the farm work in order to produce more organic vegetables. The additional manpower is needed because not using any herbicides means that the weeds must be removed by hand regularly. The young man is looking forward to being able to earn a better income for himself and his mother and to boost organic agriculture in Georgia.
