Hajarah's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy more clothes to sell.

Hajarah's story

Hajarah is 25 years old and lives in the town of Kireka in the Kampala east region of Uganda. For the past seven years, Hajarah has been working hard to manage her boutique, from where she sells clothes. To help expand her business, Hajarah has requested a loan of 3,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more clothes for sale, and will help Hajarah to generate greater profits and take good care of her parents' basic needs. Hajarah hopes that in the future she will be able to open up a big shopping mall. Hajarah is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Hajarah who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
