Jorge's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to pay for more sacks of rice needed in his business.

Jorge's story

Jorge is grateful that he was granted a PHP 50,000 loan which he used to buy sacks of rice needed in his wholesale/retail rice business. Through his earnings he is able to support his family and meet their daily basic needs.

He would like to apply for another PHP 50,000 loan which he will use to buy several sacks of rice to sell either at wholesale or retail prices. Rice is a main staple in the Philippines. It constitutes a dominant portion of the standard diet of Filipinos. His earnings from selling rice help cover his family’s daily needs. He is thanking God and you in advance for the financial assistance that will be given to him.

Jorge dreams of being more successful in his rice selling business. He aims to save for his old age and prays to stay healthy. He faithfully meets up with his co-fellowship members to share stories of his work every week and where he can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God he studies.

* All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
