Madjiguéne's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy peanuts, millet and maize for her agriculture business, and vegetables for resale.
Madjiguéne's Group's story
This group was created in July 2011. It is made up of members who all come from the same village and work in agriculture and selling vegetables. Sokhna (standing on the right with her hand raised, in the photo) is the group representative. She is 50 years old, married and has seven children. She works in agriculture, growing millet, maize and peanuts. She also sells vegetables. Sokhna plans to use her loan to buy 50,000 francs CFA of peanuts, 50,000 francs CFA of millet, 50,000 francs CFA of maize and the rest will be spent on vegetables. Her aim is to increase her savings and help her eldest son, who is a tailor, by buying him a sewing machine.
