Kpangmanga - Zoggu Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy four bags of shea nuts for the extraction of shea butter.

Kpangmanga - Zoggu Group's story

Pagkpema is an active woman of 45 years from Zoggu in the northern region of Ghana. Pagkpema is married, and has four children. She is the person squatting in front of every other member in their group picture. Pagkpema is a member of Shea Nut Pickers and Shea Butter Processing Group who have been doing the business over the past 25 years. Their group is called ‘Kpangmanga - Zoggu’ Women Association. She makes good profits from the business, since she and every member of her group are been trained by Grameen Ghana and Planet finance on how to process high quality premium shea butter for shea butter marketing companies to buy and export. Pagkpema and the group have asked for a loan of GHS 9,600. The share of the loan to Pagkpema would pay the cost of buying four bags of shea nuts for the extraction of shea butter. By so doing, she would increase productivity and her income, and hence repay the loan, and support her three children to be in school.
