Anahit's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to pay for forage for the livestock, for fertilizer and to hire workers for land cultivation.
Anahit lives in Tavshut village of the Shirak region with her mother, brother and sister. Her father left the country as a migrant worker with the hope of sustaining the family financially. Anahit is a young farmer. With the help from her family, Anahit is engaged in breeding livestock including cows, sheep, calves, and hens. Anahit also is engaged in the cultivation of wheat and potatoes. Livestock breeding is the main source of her family's income and is of great importance to them. As the family's needs are growing day by day, Anahit needs to expand her livestock to be able to make ends meet. A loan of (USD) $3,000 will greatly support this young lady and her family, enabling her to purchase forage for the livestock, to buy fertilizer and to hire workers for land cultivation. Anahit hopes to sustain and develop her agribusiness with the help of the loan. This is Anahit's first loan and it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who didn’t have access to credit products in the past because they have no credit history. The family relies on the goodwill of the lenders and will be thankful to them for their support in collecting the needed amount of the loan.
