A loan helped to buy a grill to make pupusas.

Roxana Carolina's story

Roxana is 23 years old and lives with her mother and her daughter. She has to work hard every day to be able to buy the day's food as the father of her child does not help her. Roxana only studied up to Grade 9 as her mother could not afford to pay her educational expenses. Her father abandoned her at a early age. Her mother taught her enough skills to do anything in the kitchen.

Roxana has 5 years of experience in this business. She was very young when she started to sell pupusas and enchiladas. The loan that she is requesting is to buy a grill to make pupusas as the one she has now is very small, so this is why she needs the loan.

Roxana dreams of having a better sales location. She would like to have a stand to expand her business so that she can generate more income. Then she could provide education for her daughter so she can become a professional and have a more peaceful life.
