Claudia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy construction supplies and mobile phone minutes.

Claudia's story

Claudia, 34, convinced her husband to invest in real estate when he retired and received his retirement income. She bought and remodeled a house, building apartments that ultimately she rented, which began to generate new income. She keeps going with her current goal, and she has planned ahead to build two new apartments and open a variety store in one of them. She decided to generate income for the family to be able to give her children the highest quality education possible. She and her husband have five years of experience and they're making the most of their knowledge to come up with new ideas for greatly increasing their money. For example, selling minutes from Monday through Sunday, from 7 in the morning until 8 at night, is a business that will provide new household income. Currently she's applying for a Kiva loan, her first financing from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. She's going to buy construction supplies to make improvements on her apartments. She's also going to buy mobile phone minutes. With this her business will improve because she'll increase her business profits and improve her tenants' circumstances.
