Alou's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy cereals.
Born in 1976 in Ouelessebougou, Alou lives with his four children and his wife in a traditional family in the sub-prefecture of Ouelessebougou (Koulikoro region, Republic of Mali). Alou was unable to attend school from a young age, but became interested in revenue-generating activities, notably the buying and selling of shop products and cereals. He learned the business by working with his maternal uncle, who was once an important businessman. Alou decided to work with Soro Yiriwaso in order to be able to satisfy his growing clientèle. Having properly repaid his previous (5th) loan, he is now on his sixth loan which will be used to buy 5 tons of rice from the wholesalers in Bamako. He will resell the rice in Ouelessebougou, for credit or cash, to a mixed retail clientèle. Alou hopes to make an average monthly profit of 125 000 francs, part of which will be used to repay the loan and part of which will be reinvested in his business, buying and selling merchandise.
