Marta Lucia's story
Marta is an enterprising and determined woman, 46 years old, married, and from this relationship has two children who live with her and help with the various tasks such as cleaning, cutting, applying the manure, configuration, etc. She has an incomplete primary education, studying up to the 4th grade, and couldn't continue going to school due to the lack of economic support from her parents. They were the ones who taught her coffee growing, work done by her family for many years and generations, and today with the support of her spouse. The land that they cultivate is their own, thanks to an inheritance from her parents, and is located at a short distance from their house, which they walk every day. Now, she is asking for help to be able to purchase manure, fertilizer, and other supplies that help to prevent infection of her crops from coffee rust and other diseases that deteriorate the quality of the crop. Her plans for the future are to have a large plantation providing her customers with a variety of beans and that they all consume her products, and in this way be able to generate more income that will help to strengthen her children's and grandchildren's assets and that they continue working the land, that today she works, from generation to generation.
