Jacob's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy goats and green bananas for trade.

Jacob's story

Jacob has applied for a loan of 3,000,000 UGX (three million shillings only). He is 34 years old, married and has three children. He has never taken a loan from UGAFODE Microfinance ltd (MDI). Jacob trades in cattle, goats, and sheep. He works for 10 hours a day. He has another source of income, matooke (green bananas), to supplement his monthly income. He started this business in 2008 in his local cell. However, at times he goes up to the neighboring places because of the demand. He started these businesses so as to raise money to educate his children. He sells the livestock to all categories of people, both agriculturalists and traders. He says he will use this loan funds to trade in goats and matooke. His dream is to buy a car and the main challenge he faces is traffic on the road while transporting his products. He is honest and he says UGAFODE MDI staff have good customer care.
