Felipa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to pay for seedlings, fertilizers and other farm supplies.
Felipa, 42, is a resident of Silang, Cavite, Philippines. Married to Wilfredo, a farmer, she is a mother of three children, one is in high school and the other two are not yet studying. She works hard, together with her husband, to meet the family's daily basic needs and for the education of her child. Felipa operates a pineapple growing farm. She grows pineapple in their farm located in Cavite, it is in the highlands where it is suited to grow pineapple. She sells her product to market and fruit stores that she regularly supplies and to the local community. She earns a minimum of Php 10,000 in sales a month. To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a Php 10,000 loan which she will use to buy fertilizer and farm inputs for her business. Part of the loan will go to the maintenance of her farm. She is positive that her hard work will yield more sales and income for her. Felipa dreams to give her family a better life and provide her children the best education possible. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week and where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the word of God she studies. * All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
