A loan helped To purchase a dairy cow and produce milk products to sell.
Lali is a 56-year-old married woman from the village of Dighomi. She lives with her husband and daughter, who works as a cashier at the local store. Lali's husband is a daily worker, who earns approximately 160 GEL per month. Lali is a nurse and has a fixed salary. However, in spite of their employment, the family lives in poverty and finds it hard to cover even their basic needs. Lali has a great desire to be involved in an agricultural activity and start dairy farming. She has requested a loan from MFO Credo, which approved her loan request within its start-up program, which gives rural people the chance to start or re-start businesses. Lali plans to purchase a dairy cow with the requested amount and then to produce milk products and start selling them. She will sell products at good prices and will have her own customers. Lali and her family rely on the goodwill of Kiva lenders and will be thankful to them for giving them a chance to live in better conditions.
