but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase raw materials like coal, brass, etc., and a furnace for her utensil-making business.

Shree Haripriya Shg Group's story

The responsible Shree Haripriya Self-Help Group is made up of nine members. The members of the group are all women from the district of Kalahandi in Odisha, India. All the group members are involved in doing different kind of activities. One of them is Tula, who was selected as their president. The lady standing with her raise hand in the photo is Tula. Tula is 30 years old and lives with her husband and three children. She is engaged in the activity of making plates, bowls, spoons, and other utensils made of brass, and then selling them in the nearby market. These plates are used for different purposes, mainly for serving food, and sometimes are used while performing rituals. She makes different types and sizes of plates and bowls, depending upon the demand of her customers. Tula has a plan to expand her business by producing greater quantities of her products, for which she needs machinery with which she can make the plates more frequently and quickly. She also needs raw materials like coal, brass, etc., and a furnace. She has a very good relationship with her customers because she completes their orders on time. Tula, along with her group, Shree Haripriya Self-Help Group, has requested a loan of 135,000 INR for expanding their businesses.
