Munduli B Group's story

Elizabeth is a mother of three children, two sons and one daughter, two of whom are schooling while the other is still a baby. She is married and in her thirties. Elizabeth runs a poultry and livestock business where she keeps goats and chicks until they grow and are ready for selling. Despite being into agriculture, she is a tailor by profession, and has opened a room where she designs and makes clothes with fabrics. She has been in these businesses for more than ten years now. Working from 06am to 07pm per working day, she is able to earn a fair monthly profit. From Tujijenge Tanzania, this is her third loan request to be apportioned among Munduli B, a two-member group. The group members will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan. Elizabeth used the previous loan, since repaid, to start her tailoring business by buying fabrics and sewing machines. She also bought poultry chicks and chicken feeds. She manages to receive an extra income, which she uses to cover part of her kids' school fees and household expenses. Elizabeth will use her new credit request to buy chicken feed and fabrics for her tailoring business. She dreams of being successful with her projects. She will share this loan with her loan group, "MUNDULI B", which consists of two members. The members will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
