Gloria Mirtala's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy farming supplies to look after her coffee crops.
Gloria Mirtala's story
Gloria is 61 years old and did not finish primary school as her parents were very poor and could not support her education. Gloria's partner supports her work in the field with their two children who help to clean, collect and look after the coffee crops. Gloria is a farmer thanks to her parents who taught her this trade. This is the family's only income. Gloria's land is on the same property where her house is. This allows her to give her crops a lot of care but the market where she sells her products is fifteen kilometres away. To arrive there, she must travel in a vehicle. Gloria's goal is to continue to improve her quality of life by expanding the land on which she grows her coffee. Then she can grow more coffee and other products too. Today Gloria is applying for a loan in order to buy farming supplies to look after and protect her coffee crops. She hopes that this loan will be approved by Kiva investors.
