Nancy Judith's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy machinery and raw materials such as fabrics in bulk.
Nancy Judith's story
Nancy, 36, has never forgotten how her mother, a clothing manufacturer, taught her to cut, prepare, assemble and sell garments. Today, to generate revenue to support her husband and her 3 children aged between 2 and 13 years old, she makes clothes and also sells assorted merchandise that her clients request. Her main products are bermudas, shorts, shirts, sweaters etc. which she sells on credit or cash in different areas of the town where she lives, working daily from 8am to 6pm. Her goal is to modernise the workshop with machinery and equipment, expanding the technical features. Her next goal is to help her children get a good job, however the lack of resources is the biggest challenge she has to overcome to meet these goals. Nancy is interested in the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation and is applying for her first loan through this to buy machinery that will give her garments a better finish and to buy raw materials such as fabrics in bulk. This investment will impact the quality of her products positively, thereby substantially improving her business.
