Marine's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for a calf and forage for the livestock.

Marine's story

Marine lives in the village of Qarahunj with her two sons. Her second son is an army officer and will have a pension. To sustain her family's living, for eight years Marine has been running a farm upon which she keeps eight cows and four calves. The requested loan of USD 3000 will enable her to purchase a calf and forage for the livestock. Marine and her family members will highly appreciate lenders' support. Marine took a loan from a local financial institution before, but unfortunately wasn't able to pay it back. However, thanks to her hard work during recent times, she has been able to run her agribusiness in a sustainable way, ensuring that she will be able to cover the monthly payments. So, she has now been approved for a loan within the framework of a new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF International. The second-chance loan program provides loans to people who have a bad credit history and have no access to credit products.
