Tenneh's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for some raw food items.

Tenneh's story

This is 39-year-old Tenneh. She is married and has two children, ages 15 and 10. In 2007, Tenneh established a restaurant business, serving rice and stew, rice and cassava leaves, couscous, fried rice, and drinks, but then she changed her business to selling provisions and clothing materials. She began her business because she wanted to help her husband, and to help with the smooth running of the home. She opens her business 7 days a week and 12 hours a day. She earns about Le 1,325,000 from this business every month. She would like a loan in the amount of Le 5,000,000. She also caters for parties and workshops. She opened a shop at the east end of Freetown, selling different provisions and clothing materials while her sister runs the restaurant. Tenneh requires a new loan in order to buy provisions and cooking condiments for her shop and restaurant. In the future, Tenneh plans to be her own proprietress for the restaurant and for the provision and clothing material business.
