Kodiagongonna 3 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay wages and to buy agricultural inputs, small equipment and seeds.

Kodiagongonna 3 Group's story

The 6 members of the Kodiagnogonna 3 group are married women with an average age of 33 and, on average, 3 children, who all live in traditional families in Solosso, one of the villages in the N'Goa commune, San Circle, fourth administrative region of Mali. They are working with the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso in order to be able to carry out their agricultural activities during the rainy season. They are on their 5th loan from the institution and have properly repaid their previous loans. Babou, the woman standing on the left in the picture, grows groundnuts. She plans to use her loan to buy agricultural inputs, seeds and small agricultural equipment, and to pay the labourers needed to cultivate 1.5 hectares of land. After the harvest, the produce will be sold in the village and in N'Goa to a clientèle made up of men and women. She expects to make an average profit of 18 000 francs per crop cycle. This profit will allow her to repay her loan and to support her husband with the daily expenses.
