Arche De Noe Group's story
Leontine started her business in 1981 and has been a faithful client with Hope DRC (a microfinance program) since February 2008. Over the years, Leontine has acquired solid experience in business. She first began selling sacs of corn, peanuts and beans, until 2005 when she had an accident on a boat and was hospitalized for three months. After the recovery, Leontine decided to change the business because of a broken finger that she got from the accident. She opened a general boutique in late 2005 and has been operating this business to the present day. She sells soaps, sugar, salt, milk, toilet papers, oil, cans, and other household goods. Her business strategies are based on the high quality of goods, strategic pricing, caring for clients and never running out of inventory. With her next loan she is planning to rent a place to move her business indoors in order to avoid the heavy rains. Her dream is to purchase a boat in order to serve rural people as river transport. Leontine is married and a mother of four children.
