Tereza's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to pay for fertilizer, seeds and a polyethylene cover for the greenhouse.
Tereza lives in Griboyedov village with her husband and two small children (ages 8 and 1 years old). Her husband is an army officer and Tereza herself is engaged in farming. She owns a greenhouse and currently cultivates cucumbers, tomatoes, and eggplant. Tereza's farm needs more funds, which is the reason for applying for this loan. Tereza asks the loan of USD 3,000 to be able to purchase fertilizer, seeds and a polyethylene cover for the greenhouse. She has taken a loan from local financial institutions before, but because of very difficult financial conditions, was not able to pay it back on time. Now, by ensuring that her farming business is successful and she is able to provide monthly payments for this loan, Tereza has been approved for a loan within the framework of a new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF International. The second chance loan program provides loans to people who have a bad credit history and have no access to credit products.
