Penouel Group's story
The borrower, Flotrence, is a trader and entrepreneur. She is a member and the vice-president of the Penouel business group. She is 31, and the mother of three children, all of whom go to school. The borrower sells food; she is part-owner of a shop. She sells thoses goods at the city entrance. She started this business with funds she received from her husband. She has been in this business for 11 years. This new loan will allow her to buy flour, 50kg of sugar, 50kg of rice, vegetable oil, and 5kg of Omo washing powder. Her husband is a shopkeeper. She plans on buying a plot of land, build a house, feed her children, buy them clothes, and pay for their school fees. She is very grateful to Hekima for their help in empowering female entrepreneurs with no bank accounts, especially during this critical post-conflict time in the eastern part of the country.
